KATO 1769205DCC N EMD SDP40F, Amtrak Phase I #501 w/ Digitrax DCC

This Kato EMD SDP40F Type I is based on the first new passenger diesels purchased by Amtrak in 1973. Features of the SDP40F include a five-pole motor with dual flywheels, all-wheel electrical pickup, heavy die cast metal chassis, fine decoration, directional LED headlights and Kato magnetic knuckle couplers. SDP40F Type 1 locomotives will be at home on the head end of your railroad's Amtrak passenger runs. This EMD SDP40F is equipped with a DCC decoder for use on DCC layouts, but can also be operated on standard DC layouts, but not in consist with standard DC locos.
