About the 4-Tec 2.0

Powerful Brushless Electronics

The 4-Tec® 2.0 is equipped with Traxxas' proven Velineon® brushless system, pairing the water-resistant VX3 electronic speed control with the high-efficiency V3300 brushless motor for smooth, powerful acceleration. The ESC supports both 2S and 3S LiPo batteries and features EZ-Set® one-button programming with Sport, Race, and Training Mode™ drive profiles. A water-resistant metal-gear steering servo delivers precise steering control, while the TQi™ Sport 2.4GHz radio system offers dependable long-range performance, thirty-model memory, fail-safe security, and compatibility with real-time Traxxas Link™ telemetry.

LCG Chassis & Precision Suspension

The low center of gravity chassis keeps weight positioned close to the ground for responsive handling and improved cornering stability. Modular chassis construction increases rigidity while simplifying maintenance, and the smooth undertray helps reduce drag while preventing snags over uneven pavement. Fully adjustable oil-filled Ultra Shocks™, tuned suspension geometry, captured suspension links, and dual rear camber link mounts work together to deliver consistent grip, predictable handling, and confident control at high speeds.

Efficient Drivetrain & Custom Body Compatibility

A full-time shaft-driven 4WD system transfers power through a steel center driveshaft with center bearing support and sealed differentials for efficient, reliable performance. Rubber-sealed ball bearings reduce drivetrain friction, while the fixed gear mesh system simplifies gear installation and maintenance. Adjustable body mounts and a wheelbase that can be lengthened or shortened by three-millimeters allow the chassis to accommodate most 200-millimeter touring car bodies. Since the chassis does not include a body, drivers have the flexibility to choose a compatible shell and create a fully customized touring car.
